Emirates to Recruit 5,000 Cabin Crew across Six Continents in 2024

Emirates Airlines is set to embark on an ambitious recruitment campaign in 2024, aiming to hire 5,000 cabin crew members. This move is in preparation for the introduction of its new Airbus A350 fleet. Targeting fresh graduates and young professionals, the campaign is tailored for individuals entering the workforce, including those with experience in hospitality or customer service.

The recruitment initiative plans to reach over 460 cities across six continents, showcasing Emirates' extensive network and commitment to diversity in its cabin crew team. This follows a significant hiring spree in 2023, where Emirates onboarded 8,000 new cabin crew members and conducted recruitment activities in 353 cities, boosting its crew strength to 21,500 by August of that year.

The recruitment drive is closely linked with Emirates' fleet expansion. The airline is set to start receiving its Airbus A350s from mid-2024 and the Boeing 777-Xs from 2025. Emirates' current order book includes 65 A350s and a mix of 205 Boeing 777-9s and 777-8s. These new aircraft will enhance the airline's global reach and provide more flexibility in adding new routes to its network.

New cabin crew recruits will undergo an intensive eight-week training program at Emirates' state-of-the-art facility in Dubai. The training focuses on delivering high standards of hospitality, safety, and service. It also imparts skills in communication, leadership, and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment. These skills are not only vital for their roles but are also transferable to various life situations.

The recruitment drive and fleet expansion are part of Emirates' broader strategy for growth and maintaining its position as a leading global airline, particularly as the aviation industry continues to recover and expand post-pandemic.
