In 2023, ANA showcased remarkable growth in its international passenger segment. The data reflects the number of passengers, passenger load factor, available seat kilometers, and revenue passenger kilometers.

April to September: The first half of 2023 witnessed a substantial increase in passenger numbers, with a peak in August of 646,829 passengers, representing a 186.6% rise compared to the previous year. The passenger load factor remained robust, averaging around 78.5%.

October to March: The second half continued this trend, culminating in 1,208,158 passengers for the October-December period, marking a 188.7% increase from the previous year. The overall annual total showed a significant upsurge of 172.5% in passenger numbers and 179.9% in revenue passenger kilometers.

By Route: Notably, traffic on routes to North America and Asia & Oceania experienced considerable growth, with the latter seeing a 173.1% increase in passenger numbers compared to the previous year.

Domestic Passenger Traffic

The domestic passenger segment also experienced significant growth:

April to September: During the first half, ANA carried 18,071,225 passengers, a 135.3% increase from the previous year. The passenger load factor averaged 68.9% during this period.

October to March: The second half maintained this momentum, with a total of 6,483,310 passengers, a 112.2% increase year-over-year. The annual total showed an impressive rise of 128.6% in revenue passenger kilometers.

Cargo Operations

ANA's cargo operations witnessed a varied performance in 2023:

First Half of 2023: From April to September, international cargo volume reached 295,293.6 tons, representing a 78.3% growth from the previous year. Mail volume also saw an increase of 85.0%.

Second Half of 2023: In the second half, October to December, the cargo volume was 104,791.6 tons, a 92.1% increase compared to the previous year, contributing to an annual total of 400,085.1 tons, marking an 81.5% rise.

Operational Efficiency

ANA's on-time arrival rates for international and domestic passenger flights remained high:

International Passenger: Achieved a 99.8% on-time arrival rate, improving from 85.9% in the previous year.

Domestic Passenger: Posted a 99.6% on-time arrival rate, an increase from 80.4% the previous year.
