Emirates Showcases Upgraded A380 with Premium Economy on Tokyo Narita-Dubai Route

Emirates recently hosted an exclusive tour of its upgraded four-class A380 aircraft at Tokyo Narita International Airport, highlighting the Premium Economy product now available on the Tokyo Narita-Dubai route. This event marked a significant milestone following the introduction of the Premium Economy class in Japan in December 2023.

The tour provided trade partners and media representatives an in-depth look at Emirates' latest offerings, including the enhanced First and Business Class cabins and refurbished interiors. This initiative underscores Emirates' commitment to the Japanese market, aiming to offer an unparalleled travel experience to its customers.

Satish Sethi, Emirates' Country Manager for Japan, remarked on the positive response to the Premium Economy since its debut on the Dubai/Narita flights. The new class is seen as a step forward in offering Japanese travelers a wider range of choices and an elevated standard of service. Sethi highlighted the cabin's competitive edge, attributed to its meticulous design and industry-leading service quality.

The Emirates A380 now flying to Narita is the first of its kind in East Asia to feature the new Premium Economy class. Located at the front of the main deck, the cabin consists of 56 seats in a 2-4-2 configuration. It's designed with customer comfort in mind, featuring in-seat charging points, a side cocktail table, and enhanced in-flight amenities including a curated menu and a variety of beverage options.

This Premium Economy product is now available on flights to 15 destinations globally, including key cities in North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania. The introduction of this class is part of Emirates' ongoing efforts to enhance the in-flight experience across all cabin classes.

Passengers aboard the retrofitted A380 can also enjoy refreshed interiors across all cabins, characterised by the Emirates’ signature ghaf tree motif. The refurbishments extend to the aircraft's carpeting, wall panels, and wood finishings, emphasising aesthetic enhancements alongside functional upgrades.
