IndiGo Launches Daily Direct Flights from Hyderabad to Bangkok

IndiGo, India's preferred airline, has announced the introduction of daily direct flights between Hyderabad and Bangkok, starting from February 26, 2024. This new service marks the first time an Indian carrier will directly connect Hyderabad with Bangkok, enhancing the direct connectivity between these two major tourist destinations and improving access across Southeast Asia. With this addition, IndiGo expands its international footprint from Hyderabad, now connecting to 14 international destinations, up from 8 the previous year.

This new route from Hyderabad adds to IndiGo's existing connections to Bangkok from five other Indian cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Bhubaneshwar. The inclusion of Hyderabad will increase IndiGo's weekly flights between India and Bangkok to 37, making Hyderabad the 6th Indian city to have a direct link to Bangkok.

Mr. Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed the airline's pleasure in launching the Hyderabad-Bangkok operations. He emphasized that the new route aligns with IndiGo's vision of enhancing accessibility in Southeast Asia. IndiGo will now offer 57 direct flights a week to Thailand from six Indian cities, including 37 to Bangkok and 20 to Phuket. This expansion is not only a commitment to growing connectivity but also serves as a bridge between two culturally rich regions. IndiGo continues its mission to provide affordable, punctual, courteous, and hassle-free travel experiences.

Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, is renowned for its vibrant tourism sector, including culinary delights, exciting nightlife, and shopping centers. The city's economy is heavily influenced by manufacturing, agriculture, and tourism, and it is famous for attractions like the Floating Market, Safari World, Siam Ocean World, and the Chao Phraya Dinner Cruise.

IndiGo, known for being one of the fastest-growing low-cost carriers globally, operates a fleet of over 340 aircraft, offering more than 2000 daily flights and connecting 86 domestic and 32 international destinations.
