British Airways to Increase Flights from Delhi to London Heathrow

British Airways will add a new daily flight to its schedule between Delhi and London Heathrow starting April 20, 2025. This addition will increase the airline’s weekly flights across India to 63, covering five cities. Currently, British Airways operates 56 flights a week, with three daily flights from Mumbai, double daily flights from Delhi, and daily services from Chennai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. The new flight will be operated by the modern 787-8 aircraft, featuring Club World, World Traveller Plus, and World Traveller cabins.

Neil Chernoff, British Airways’ Chief Planning and Strategy Officer, expressed excitement about this milestone, coinciding with the airline’s 100th year of flying to India. He highlighted the convenience of the new flight for travelers from Delhi to London Heathrow, facilitating connections to over 200 global destinations. Moran Birger, Head of Sales Asia Pacific and Middle East at British Airways, emphasized the airline’s longstanding relationship with India, reflecting a century of commitment to the country and its people. The new flight aims to enhance customer satisfaction and set new standards in travel experience.

The new daily flight from Delhi will arrive at London Heathrow at a convenient time, enabling seamless connections to British Airways’ extensive network of 26 destinations in the US. This addition is designed to ensure a smooth and efficient travel experience for passengers.

The new flight schedule from Delhi to London Heathrow, subject to government and slot approval, includes:

  • Flight BA 136/137: Departing LHR at 16:30, arriving in Delhi at 05:35, departing Delhi at 07:40, and arriving at LHR at 12:50 (provisional timings).

The current schedule from Delhi to London Heathrow remains as follows:

  • Flight BA 142/143: Departing LHR at 10:25, arriving in Delhi at 23:30, departing Delhi at 01:35, and arriving at LHR at 06:45.

  • Flight BA 256/257: Departing LHR at 18:50, arriving in Delhi at 08:05 the next day, departing Delhi at 10:05, and arriving at LHR at 15:15.
