Emirates Reopens Renovated Lounge at Brisbane Airport
Emirates has officially announced the reopening of its newly renovated Emirates Lounge at Brisbane Airport, set for February 3, marking a significant enhancement in the travel experience for its First and Business Class passengers, as well as eligible Emirates Skywards members. This renovation underscores Emirates' dedication to providing exceptional service and facilities to its passengers, both in the air and on the ground.
The upgraded Emirates Lounge showcases a modern design infused with Middle Eastern aesthetic influences, offering a visually captivating and supremely comfortable environment for up to 183 guests. Spanning 1,108 square meters, the lounge is designed to provide a variety of seating options, from cozy chairs to plush sofas, ensuring travelers find the perfect spot to unwind before their flights.
In addition to the elegant décor, the lounge boasts a range of first-class facilities and amenities aimed at enhancing the passenger experience. Guests can look forward to an upgraded dining area, shower facilities, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a prayer room, alongside the convenience of direct boarding from the lounge, ensuring a seamless transition to their flights.
Culinary delights await passengers with a buffet featuring an array of dishes from local, Middle Eastern, Oriental, and European cuisines, including gourmet options like Salmon Blinis, Vegetable Jalfrezi, and Chicken Stroganoff. Dessert classics such as Vanilla Bean Pannacotta and Lemon Meringue Tart are also on offer, catering to diverse tastes and preferences.
The refurbishment of the Emirates Lounge is part of Emirates' ongoing global investment in enhancing customer experiences across all touchpoints. With this renovation, the Brisbane facility joins the ranks of Emirates' 30 lounges worldwide, each reflecting the airline's commitment to quality and comfort.
Barry Brown, Divisional Vice President Australasia at Emirates, expressed enthusiasm about the reopening, emphasizing the airline's long-standing commitment to Queensland's travelers and tourism industry. "Refreshing the lounge at Brisbane Airport is part of Emirates’ commitment to offering a collection of exceptional airport lounges that extend our world-class inflight experience to the ground," said Brown. This initiative is poised to ensure passengers from Brisbane commence their journey in a state of relaxation and enjoyment.
Located on Level 4 of the International Terminal, the Emirates Lounge is accessible to First and Business Class travellers and eligible Emirates Skywards members daily from 17:00 – 01:30. Paid access is also available, subject to availability, offering an inclusive option for various travellers.
Gert-Jan de Graaff, CEO of Brisbane Airport, highlighted the synergy between the lounge's reopening and Brisbane Airport's ambitious $5 billion transformation plan. This plan aims to upgrade both Domestic and International Terminals and includes the development of Terminal 3, reinforcing the airport's commitment to accommodating Queensland's growth and global appeal.
The lounge reopening aligns with Emirates' decision to upgrade its second daily service between Dubai and Brisbane, EK430/431, to an A380 from October 1, further supporting Queensland's tourism sector. Emirates' continued investment in Brisbane, including almost 12,000 weekly seats on its two daily services, demonstrates its commitment to enhancing the travel experience for Queenslanders and international visitors alike, fostering connections to the region's renowned landscapes and vibrant cities.
