Hawaiian Airlines Expands Summer Flight Schedule to Meet Increasing Demand

In response to the anticipated surge in summer travel, Hawaiian Airlines, Hawaiʻi's flagship carrier, is set to enhance its flight schedule, offering expanded services to several key destinations. This strategic move underscores the airline's commitment to accommodating the growing demand for travel to and from Hawaiʻi, marking a significant development in its operational plans.

Starting from May 24, Hawaiian Airlines will increase its flight frequencies between Honolulu (HNL) and several cities, including Austin (AUS), Boston (BOS), Las Vegas (LAS), and Pago Pago (PPG). A notable addition to this summer's schedule is the inclusion of a fourth daily flight connecting Honolulu and Los Angeles (LAX), available from May 24 through September 2. This addition reflects the airline's recognition of the strong travel demand in Southern California, as expressed by Brent Overbeek, Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer at Hawaiian Airlines.

The airline will deploy its Airbus A330 aircraft for these routes, further enhancing the travel experience with its flagship Boeing 787-9 on selected flights between LAX and HNL. Hawaiian Airlines is renowned for its unique brand of hospitality, offering guests an immersive experience of Hawaiian culture. This summer, passengers can enjoy a range of culinary delights through the airline's Featured Chef Series, along with signature beverages from local brands such as Kō Hana Rum and Maui Brewing Co. The Pau Hana snack cart will also feature island treats, adding to the onboard experience. All transpacific flights will include complimentary in-flight entertainment, showcasing Hana Hou! TV, a specially curated collection of videos.

The airline's summer service expansion includes additional flights to Austin, with an extra weekly flight on Fridays, bringing the total to four weekly flights. Boston will see a similar enhancement with an additional flight on Thursdays, resulting in five weekly flights. The Las Vegas route will be upgraded to daily service, a significant increase from its current four weekly flights. The Los Angeles route will witness the most notable increase, with the addition of a fourth daily flight. Pago Pago will also benefit from this expansion, receiving an additional weekly flight on Wednesdays.
