"By enhancing our Australian-first baggage tracking technology to include all international services and additional notifications, we are providing guests with the peace of mind to know where their baggage is at every step of the journey," Jones stated.

The airline's commitment to customer satisfaction is evident in its $400 million investment in digital innovation, technology, and customer experience initiatives. This investment includes new websites, apps, digital systems, reduced call-wait times, and the Rapid Rebook tool, allowing guests to self-manage their bookings in case of disruptions.

The baggage tracking tool works seamlessly with the Virgin Australia app. Guests can easily activate it by downloading the app, enabling push notifications, and receiving updates throughout their journey. The app will also inform guests about the specific carousel where their baggage can be collected.
